The Belton Grandview and Kansas City Railroad is available for group charters. Bring your birthday party, event, or group outing to the railroad and have the train to yourself. BG&KC offers educational programs for children of various ages, perfect for school groups, church groups, or summer camps..

The fare to charter the train for the 2008 season is $175. This fare covers the charter and up to the first 25 people. Additional passengers beyond 25 are $6 per person up to our carrying capacity. A charter includes a full 45 minute train ride, and if you wish, the opportunity to look around our yard, visit with the train crew, and an educational video presentation.

Groups may bring refreshments for their trip, however we must ask that any group be responsible for their own clean up.

This year we are also offering catered charters. Groups can enjoy a train ride and a catered BBQ meal provided by Kurzweils' Country Meats. Perfect for a speical celebration, employee application dinner, or simply to ride an evening train and enjoy some wonderful food. Rates and availability of catering service vary. A charter can be scheduled for just about any reasonable time, so long as our volunteer crews are available. Please check with the railroad booking agent for available times. Charters cannot run when there is a regularly scheduled train.
